ICE sponsors a series of events to promote research and knowledge exchange broadly related to Chinese economy. Scholars, policymakers, business leaders, and the public are most welcome to participate in our annual flagship events and regular activities to exchange insights on Chinese economy. Currently, ICE hosts three flagship activity series, besides regular seminars and other activities, to enable academic exchange between esteemed scholars and researchers and promote knowledge exchange between the academics, public, and private sectors.

The HKU Quarterly Forum on Chinese Economy is an inaugural forum series organized by HKU Business School and Institute of China Economy. It aims to provide a platform for leading economists, industry experts, and policymakers to discuss and analyze the ongoing economic conditions, challenges, and prospects of the Chinese economy.

Following the successful inaugural conference of the Institute of China Economy (ICE) in 2023, we will hold the 2nd annual conference on May 6-7, 2024 under the title “2nd Annual Conference on the Asian and Global Economy” in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
